Light Limited Pro Stock
Tractors
Weight
- Twin Turbo Super Stock Tractors weigh 6,000 lbs, Single Turbo Super Stock Tractors weigh 6,200 lbs, and Pro Stock Tractors weight 6,500 lbs.
Engine
- All Tractors are limited to 350 cubic inch displacements. NO De-Cubing of larger displacements allowed.
- Engine must be the manufactured designed block for the tractor. Tractors may run newer sheet metal but must retain original driveline.
- Cylinder head must match engine block without modification on Pro Stock Tractors. OEM head required on Pro Stock Tractors. Super Stock Tractors may run any non-overhead cam cylinder head.
- No converting Diesel engine to gasoline in Pro Stock Tractors. This is allowed in Super Stock Tractors.
- Exhaust must exit straight up.
Fuel System/Turbo
- Gasoline engines may only have one carburetor.
- Diesel tractors may run up to a single Bosch "P" Series injection pump. NO Sigman Pumps allowed.
- Pro Stock Tractors are allowed to run Gasoline or Diesel Fuels. No fuel injection of gasoline on Pro Stock Tractors. Gasoline must be inducted into engine by a carburetor on Pro Stock Tractors. Super Stock Tractors may run Gasoline, Diesel, or Alcohol.
- Tractors may run a 50/50 mix of alcohol and water in water injection system.
- Diesel powered tractors must be equipped with a fuel dump or by-pass valve that can be operated from the driver's seat at the injection pump fuel inlet fitting or fittings.
- All turbo chargers not located under hood must be completely shrouded except for inlet and exhaust pipes with steel .060 or thicker.
- All turbo chargers under fiberglass hoods must meet specifications listed in rule #6.
Tires
- A maximum of 24.5x32 tires on Pro Stock Tractors and 30.5x32 tires on Super Stock Tractors. Any cut allowed.
Chassis and Hitch
- All tractors to have a "Wide Front" axle. No single pedestal front axles allowed.
- Sheet metal must match brand of tractor.
- All Tractors are not to be longer than 13 feet from the center of the rear axle to the forward most position of the trator including weights.
- Front weights not to extend 36 inches forward of the factory grille position.
- Rear weights cannot extend past the rear tires.
- Drawbar cannot be connected to the hydraulic system in any manner.
Safety
- All tractors must be equipped with engine side shields.
- All tractors must be equipped with stabilizer bars.
- All tractors must be equipped with wheelie bars.
- All tractors must be operated with hood, grille, and have fenders that support the weight of the driver.
- All tractors must have a fire shield between the engine and the driver of no less than .060 metal fromside shield to side shield and from top to bottom.
- All tractors must have two (2) 3/8" bolts in the exhaust as close to the elbow as possible at 90 degree angles and no further than two inches apart.
- All tractors must have a nationally approved scatter blanket.
- T/A's, Power Directors, or like transmissions must be shielded with a steel shield or a board approved scatter blanket.
- All tractors must be equipped with approved type kill switch(s) or air shutter kill devices that can be activated by the pulling sled.
- All drivers must wear an approved fire suit and DOT approved helmet.
- All throttles must be of the "Dead Man" type and must idle in the rearward position.
- All tractors must be equipped with capable roll over protection.
- All tractors must be equipped with a fire extinguisher within the reach of the driver.
- All tractors must have a shield on the front crankshaft pulley and/or harmonic balancer, which will, in the event of a failure, contain the pulley and/or balancer within the engine compartment.
- All tractor engines must have a 3/8" minimum steel cable surrounding the engine.
- NEW FOR 2010: All tractors must be equipped with front stabilizer bars or skis. The lower most portion of the bar must be no higher than 4" off the ground.
