Pro Street 4x4 Trucks
Weight
Engine
- 473 cubic inch limit. No Tolerance
- Cast Iron OEM Heads and Blocks. No Aftermarket of any type.
- OEM head and intake bolt patterns only.
- No port plates of any type on heads.
- One gasoline 4V carburetor only.
- No sheet metal or tunnel ram intake manifolds allowed. Cast Iron or Aluminum intake manifolds only.
- Headers must exit down and back.
- Racing gasoline only. No additives or fuel accelerants allowed.
- SFI approved harmonic balance required.
- Engine location is restricted to a minimum of 14” between the centerline of front axle and the rear edge of the engine block.
Transmission and Driveline
- Transmission and transfer case must be of OEM production.
- Transfer cases may be married or divorced.
- Any SFI approved clutch is allowed.
- Dana 60 maximum on front axle and must be in stock location.
- Dana 80 maximum on rear axle.
- 11-1/4” maximum ring gear.
Body and Chassis
- Any metal truck body that is OEM produced.
- Must run full bodied truck. No cutting of bed or cab allowed.
- Flip or tilt nose are allowed.
- Must have front bumper and be in stock location for make and model of truck.
- OEM frame only.
- 133” wheel base maximum.
- No hanging weights, fuel cells, or batteries past the front bumper.
- Front and rear traction bars are allowed.
Tires and Wheels
- Tires must be DOT approved and unaltered.
- Tire sizing must be factory stamped in sidewall without alterations.
- 33 x 12.50 x15”, 16”, or 16.5” allowed or 285/75/R16 Maximum tire size.
- 10” maximum wheel width.
- 8 lug maximum on wheels.
Hitch
- 26” maximum hitch height from the point of hook to the ground.
- Minimum hitch length 36% of the truck’s wheelbase. EXAMPLE: 133” x 36% = 47.88 inches from the centerline of the rear axle to the point of the hook.
- Hitch components must be rigid in all directions.
Safety
- All drivers must wear a fire suit of no less than level 1 and a helmet with a DOT certification.
- All trucks must be equipped with a fire extinguisher within the reach of the driver.
- All trucks will be equipped with seat belts in the driver’s position. OEM or a minimum of 4 point racing style required.
- Kill switch to shut off ignition and electric fuel pumps must be located above hitch required.
- Back up light required when truck is in reverse.
- Truck must have working brakes.
- Sled bumpers are allowed and may extend past hitch or body.
- Transmissions shall be equipped with SFI approved bell housing, blanket, or shield.
- SFI flywheels are required.
- 360 degree U-Joint shielding and center loops are required. 3/16” Steel or ¼” aluminum specification.
- All trucks must be equipped with a front tow hook for pull off purposes.
Tech and Protests
IAMO can tech and P&G all trucks more than once throughout the season. Tech official will choose which cylinder.
Truck representative will install plug adapter, remove needed parts for inspection or Illegal P&G.
Tech official will decide tear down procedures.
$200 Protest fee has been established.
Protest within 15 minutes of class ending by a puller of the same class.
If the person/truck being protested leaves before P&G or tear down procedure, the truck is considered illegal.
$75 is for promoter to pay for services and protest procedures
If proven legal, $125 goes to the person/truck being protested.
If engine is illegal $200 is returned to protester. Truck and Owner will be banned ONE YEAR and a DAY for illegal engines. Regardless of ownership change or different truck being run.
Hitch height may be protested for $20.
IAMO keeps money. Illegal hitches lose points for event and prize money for the pull.
